PODER and ANC Co-host Voter Registration Day Event
Austin, Texas (Sept. 9, 2024) – People Organized in Defense of Earth and her Resources (PODER) and the Austin Neighborhoods Council (ANC) will partner to host a voter registration event in honor of Voter Registration Day at the Mariposa Complex, 4926 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin TX 78741, noon–7 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Eligible voters may drive thru or walk up to register to vote in English or Spanish. PODER and Volunteer Deputy Registrars will also help residents check to see if they remain registered or purged by the state. If they have been purged, all eligible voters will be re-registered.
Fair and free elections represent a crucial pillar of our democracy. As one of the world's leading democracies, the United States should work to keep voting free, fair, and accessible.
